The Ancient Magus’ Bride anime is based on a manga by Kore Yamazaki. WIT Studio animated the series’ first season in 2017 with 24 episodes. The season was preceded by a three-episode OVA series titled The Ancient Magus’ Bride: Those Awaiting a Star. In 2021, Studio Kafka animated the OAD series titled The Boy from the West and the Knight of the Blue Storm. The second season is set to have 12 episodes. Chise was able to accept Elias and herself, if not necessarily everything about her situation. After Cartaphilus fell back into a slumber that would not last forever, Chise was able to go back to her regular life.
