The Case Study of Vanitas has released a new short trailer, which introduces a new character, Astolfo. Part 2 of the series will premiere on January 14, 2022.
The video is titled “Vampire Hunter Edition”:
Ayumu Murase (Venti, Iruma Suzuki) is the one voicing Astolfo. The video is the fourth short PV of the anime, the previous PV is titled “The Executioner Hunting the Bait Edition”, and features Jeanne.
The first cour of The Case Study of Vanitas aired in the Summer 2021 anime season and had a total of 12 episodes. Tomoyuki Itamura (Monogatari series) directed the first cour, while studio Bones (Noragami) animated it. They will also work on The Case Study of Vanitas part 2.
The Case Study of Vanitas is a Japanese manga series by Jun Mozuchi. Square Enix is publishing the manga series since December 2015, and as of now, it has 9 volumes with 55 chapters available. The Case Study of Vanitas part 2 will start on volume 5 of the series and you can read the synopsis below:
The Beast of Gévaudan, which once plunged France into terror, has risen again in the nineteenth century.
