The first 10 episodes of Record of Ragnarok Season 2 are now streaming on Netflix worldwide. The remaining episodes will be released sometime this year. Studios Graphinica and Yumeta Company are animating the sequel, under Masao Okubo’s direction. The same studios also worked on the first season of the anime that premiered in 2021. The cast includes:
The latest trailer was revealed only a few days ago, and the opening theme song “Rude Loose Dance” by Minami was featured in it. “Inori” by Masatoshi Ono is the ending theme.
Record of Ragnarok is based on a manga written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, and illustrated by Ajichika. The manga has been serialized since 2017 in Coamix’s Monthly Comic Zenon magazine. Viz Media is publishing the manga in English and describes the plot as:
The valkyrie Brunhilde has convinced the gods to give humanity a chance at redemption through combat in the Valhalla arena. Seeking a quick end to the proceedings, the gods present their first fighter, Thor, the Norse god of thunder.
