The Vampire Dies in No Time is getting season 2, according to Amazon listing for the 19th volume of the manga. The 19th volume is set to publish on January 7, and the description on the listing states that “2nd season of the anime will be produced”. The official website still hasn’t confirmed the information.
Season 1 of the MADHOUSE anime started airing on October 4, 2021, and is currently on its 5th episode. Hiroshi Koujina directed the anime, with Mayuko Nakano as the character designer and chief animation director. Yukie Sugawara was in charge of series composition, while Ryou Takahashi composed the music.
In addition, Jun Fukuyama and Makoto Furukawa are voicing the main duo – Dralc and Ronaldo, respectively. Natsumi Hioka, Mutsumi Tamura and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka are also starring in the series.
The story is based on a manga by Itaru Bonnoki, serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine. The plot follows a vampire hunter Ronaldo, who meets an unlikely friend. The friend, Draluc, is a vampire and the two make for a weird combination. But, Draluc is actually quite weak, and even the weakest attack turns him into dust. The two of them adventure together, while encountering a number of ridiculous situations.
