“Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” episode 5 is out! The episode last week was pure fun and chaos, it’s crazy how Makoto has to cover Zetsuya’s destruction. Anyway, the show skips that and continues on with Makoto and his new travel buddies. The episode is titled, “The Greedy Wagon’s Journey.” and it has a lot of world-building!
During the recap, we learn that the goddess is the reason why the other creatures have it hard as compared to the pampered and “beautiful” humans. That really sucks! Anyway, we have Makoto now to make a better world. While Tomoe leaves on a noble samurai mission, Mio happily stays by Makoto’s side.
The journey to the city of Tsige is a fun and amusing one. As adventurers, it’s only natural that they gather monster materials. I honestly had a fun time watching how Toa is both cute and brutal at it.
Despite being a Level 1 adventurer, Makoto is really adept with his bow and arrow. What makes “Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” so special is the silly comedy around Makoto’s weak level when he is in fact, actually really strong. Poor Makoto, nobody trusts him.
The “Kuzunoha Trading Company” finally arrive at the city of Tsige. He gets his license (with awesome perks) and bids farewell to his travel companions. Of course, not without a celebratory dinner first. We also finally discover their names and titles – Louisa the Bless Gunner, Hazal the Alchemy Meister, Ranina the Priest Knight, and Toa the Dark Thief.
It’s a fun and heartwarming scene at dinner. Plus, Makoto experiences the joy of eating a delicious meat-on-a-bone! (Fantasy dreams fulfilled!) I also find Mio’s appetite an absolute mood. However, the funniest part of this episode is easily Mio’s “expectation VS reality” in the inn. Her jealousy and fondness for Makoto are super cute, especially with her pouty expressions.
I find it funny that despite Tomoe’s absence, Mio can’t get as close to Makoto as she wants to. She should have destroyed the bed…
Meanwhile, at the demiplane, the building constructions are going smoothly. We’re watching the early beginnings of a prosperous town! I really appreciate Emma and she seems to have grown more confident and reliable now. I’m actually in awe of Makoto’s future residence. It’s huge!
In addition, we have the dwarves’ armor creations and the Alke’s human transformation. (They’re so weird and cute!) The harvests in the demiplane are so odd too. There are so many interesting developments at the demiplane today, but I can’t help but wonder what could be happening to Tomoe. How is her training and when is she coming back?
Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy” episode 5 comes to a mysterious end as Kuzunoha (AKA Makoto) arrives at the shady Rembrandt Trading Company to fulfill his very first S-Class quest. He’ll be simply giving the Ruby Eyes they gathered during the journey. He meets with a suspicious person and all we hear is his cold temper at Makato.
What…? I’m so confused and curious. Well well well, Makoto’s first adventure may be harder than we thought.
Episode 6, titled “Melancholy of a Handsome Middle-Aged Men,” airs on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 11:00 PM (JST). It will also be available to watch on Crunchyroll and Muse Asia in select regions.
