The Blue Wolves of Mibu, a historical manga by Tsuyoshi Yasuda, is getting an anime adaptation. MAHO FILM is animating it, under the direction of Kumiko Habara. An announcement video and a visual have been released as part of the announcement.
Kenta Ihara will be doing the series composition, while Yuko Ooba and Miyako Nishida will do the character design. Yuki Hayashi will be composing the music. Toshiki Kameyama is the sound director. No details on the cast have been announced as of this writing.
The Blue Wolves of Mibu manga by Tsuyoshi Yasuda has been serialized by the Weekly Shonen Magazine since October 2021. Kodansha USA has recently announced that the manga has bee licensed in English, and will be released in the spring of 2024. The plot was described as:
Nio is an orphan who can’t help dreaming of a better world. In this action-packed manga, he meets two men who show him how much a few swords can change history.

Tsuyoshi Yasuda is known for his other manga titles such as Days and Over Drive. Days received an anime adaptation by MAPPA, which aired for 24 episodes from July to December 2016. Meanwhile, Over Drive received an anime adaptation by studio Xebec, which aired from April to September 2007 for 26 episodes. Yasuda also authored manga InspiRED, a collaboration between Kodansha and the professional football club Liverpool FC.
