Funimation will stream the remastered version of the entire “Robotech” series, along with the two movies, “Robotech II: The Sentinels” and Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles, on August 24, 2021. The remaster of “Robotech” and the movies will be available on Funimation’s streaming service in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

What’s more, a special “Robotech – Collector’s Edition” box set, will be available on the Funimation Shop on September 28, 2021. For the first time, it will include all of the 85-episodes of the remastered “Robotech” on Blu-ray in Dolby Digital. The remaster will also retain a classic “film grain”. Aside from the anime series, the collector’s edition will also include an exclusive Variant Transforming Robotech – Roy Fokker’s VF-1S, an exclusive Variant Action Figure – Roy Fokker in Pilot Uniform Variant Shade of Black, and a series of Robotech-embroidered patches.
“Robotech” is a space opera anime telling the story of humans defending their homeworld against alien domination. It’s told through the eyes of characters caught up in a series of wars that erupts when a mysterious spacecraft crash-lands on Earth. Only through unlocking the secrets of Robotechnology do they have any hope of surviving. The series produced by Harmony Gold and Tatsunoko Productions first premiered in 1985.
