Episode 8 of the ongoing comedy anime Uncle from Another World will be postponed. The production studio of the series, Atelier Pontdarc, and other related parties were affected by the rapid increase of COVID-19 cases in Japan, announcement states. The production committee also promises to continue to make the health and safety of the staff involved in this work their number one priority.
The schedule for episode 8 and beyond is yet to be announced. The series also previously delayed its broadcast due to COVID-19 outbreak last July. Netflix is streaming the anime worldwide, with a 3-week delay for Europe and North America; during the first delay it caught up. The broadcast schedule for the month of September was released:
Uncle From Another World anime adaptation is based on a manga series by Hotondoshindeiru. It started serialization on Kadokawa Shoten’s ComicWalker in June 2018. Shigeki Kawai is directing the anime with Kazuhiro Ota as chief animation director and character designer.
