UPDATED: Voice Actor Shimono Hiro (Zenitsu, Dabi) Tests Positive for COVID

EDIT: As of July 12, 2021, Shimono Hiro has officially recovered from COVID-19 and is set to resume his activities on July 13, 2021!

On July 2, 2021, Shimono Hiro, known as a voice actor for characters such as Zenitsu (“Demon Slayer“), and Dabi (“My Hero Academia“), reported that he has tested positive for a new type of COVID infection. He also went to a medical institution on July 2, 2021, and underwent a PCR test which confirmed that he “caught” the disease.

According to Oricon, Shimono Hiro apologized for any inconveniences and worries he might have caused to the people involved and the fans. He also said that he will continue to make every possible effort to prevent the spread of the disease.

Shimono Hiro’s Roles

Shimono Hiro is known for roles such as Zenitsu from “Demon Slayer” and Dabi from “My Hero Academia”. We can also hear his voice in “Attack on Titan” (Connie Springer). Not only that, but he voiced a lot of anime protagonists that you can check out below:
