Voice actress Rina Hidaka tested positive for COVID-19. According to her agency “Office Osawa”, she had a fever of 37.5°C on the morning of August 21, 2021, and after she took a PCR test in a hospital, the test came back positive.
Rina Hidaka tweeted saying that she tested positive for COVID-19 and apologizing for the inconvenience. She says that she will take care of herself, and recover as soon as possible. Her agency also issued a similar statement, underlining the importance of social distancing and wearing masks. You can see Rina’s tweet regarding her condition below:
Rina Hidaka was born on June 15th, 1994. She started her voice acting career in 2008. Since then she has voiced some iconic female characters such as Silica (Sword Art Online) and Ophelia (Vivy: Flourite’s Eye Song). She also voiced Filo from (The Rising of the Shield Hero). In addition, her other notable roles include Urara and Sasaki (Shokugeki no Soma), Milim Nava (Tensura), and many more.
Rina Hidaka is the latest among popular Japanese voice actors who tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier this week KENN, Shinichiro Miki, and Yuko Sanpei announced that they also tested positive.
