The ecchi romantic comedy series, Watari-kun no xx ga Hokaisunzen (Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse) will receive an anime adaptation. The announcement came in the October edition of Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine, where the manga ended its serialization with two final chapters.
Kodansha USA publishes the manga digitally in English, and describes the plot as follows:
Naoto Watari has had his share of struggles: his parents died two years ago, and now he and his sister live at his aunt’s house. There, his desire to protect his sister earned him notoriety as “the guy with the sister complex”—which never mattered to him, as his sister always came first. But when Satsuki, a childhood friend-turned-enemy(?), becomes his school mate, Naoto’s ordinary life is thrown into chaos … and Satsuki may just be the beginning.
Naru Narumi first launched Watari-kun’s ****** Is About to Collapse in August 2014, and the series has since been collected into fifteen volumes, with fourteen currently available in English. No further information about the anime adaptation has been announced at this stage.
Narumi’s other work, Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles, began serialization in Takeshobo’s Manga Life Storia magazine in 2013 and has been collected into ten volumes so far, with three currently available in English via Dark Horse Comics. Ms. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles received an anime adaptation from Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ, which aired in Japan from January to March 2018 and was streamed on Crunchyroll outside Asia.
