Tsutsui Taishi, the author of We Never Learn, also known as Boku-tachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai, released a one-shot in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump Giga on October 21. The magazine’s Autumn issue compiles the 50-page length manga, Yosame Hakuro wa Korosenai (Yosame Hakuro Can’t Be Killed).
The summary of the plot is: Her target for killing is a never-aging immortal?!, while the genre is “slapstick thrill comedy-action”.
Hitman Asagami receives her first mission to kill. But the target is a young-looking immortal, who has been living for 400 years, and whom many others failed to murder in the past. During a battle, she shouts at him she won’t leave him even if it kills her, which catches his curiosity. And so she starts working as a housemaid beside him – to get a chance to kill her target.
The author revealed on Twitter that he drew a manga fully digitally for the first time, saying it was really difficult but also fun.
Mangaka’s We Never Learn work was also serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 2017 to 2021, ending with Volume 21. The work received two anime adaptations. Both of them aired in 2019, with a total of 13 episodes respectively.
The official English publisher for the manga series describes the plot of Volume 1 as:
Rizu is a science genius who wants to study liberal arts. Fumino is effortlessly good at literature, but math makes her head spin. Nariyuki is stuck between a rock and a hard place, but who can complain about tutoring a couple of cute girls?
