Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf (Nihon e Yokoso Erufu-san) TV anime has revealed the first teaser trailer, visual, as well as the main cast and staff members. Studio ZERO-G is in charge of the animation, with Toru Kitahata as the director. You can watch the teaser trailer below.
Aya Yoshinaga will be in charge of the script and series composition, while Madoka Hirayama will be the character designer and also serve as the chief animation director. As for the cast, Yusuke Kobayashi will voice Kazuhiro Kitase and Kaede Hondo will voice the elf Marie. They are both featured in the teaser visual.
Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf! is a Japanese light novel series written by Makishima Suzuki and illustrated by Yappen. It began serialization online in 2017 on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, before being acquired by Hobby Japan and getting the first light novel volume published in August 2018 under their HJ Novels imprint. There is also a manga adaptation with art by Shimo Aono. Both the light novel and manga have been licensed in English by J-Novel Club, which describes the story:
Kazuhiro Kitase’s main hobby is sleeping. Ever since he was young, he would enter a world within his dreams and go on exciting adventures. As he grew older, he became acquainted with a female Elf and the two have now been united through a Dragon’s brand! As he wakes up one day, he notices a familiar figure sleeping next to him…the Elf girl from his dreams?! Join Kazuhiro on his new adventures through Japan with the lovely Ms. Elf!
In other news, another light novel that started on the Shosetsukia ni Naro website announced an anime adaptation yesterday, I’m a Noble on the Brink of Ruin, So I Might as Well Try Mastering Magic.
