Summer anime season kicks off today with Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 2, followed by sequels for Classroom of the Elite, The Devil is a Part-Timer, Made in Abyss, and DanMachi, all of which will air in the coming days. There’s also new anime, including original titles like Engage Kiss, so there’s plenty to choose from.
Anime Corner ran an anticipated poll and asked anime fans to share their most anticipated anime for this season with this to make it easier for you to decide what anime you want to watch in Summer 2022. The poll began on Friday and ended exactly 7 days later, and the results are now available below.

The list is topped by Classroom of the Elite Season 2, which is unsurprising, and is followed by Overlord Season 4 and Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 2. Call of the Night, My Stepmom’s Daughter Is My Ex, and Engage Kiss were the only three non-sequel anime in the top 10, and it will be interesting to see how this list holds up in our weekly summer polls.
We noticed that male anime fans (85%) dominated the data while going through it, so we’ve included top fifteen results for female anime fans’ anticipated titles below.

If you’re looking for geographical information, the top three countries with the most voters were the Philippines, the United States, and India. Below are the top five rankings in each of these three countries.

Surprisingly, Americans are more excited for Overlord’s fourth season and The Devil is a Part-Timer season than Classroom of the Elite’s second season. DanMachi appears to be a fan favourite over there as well.

Overlord didn’t make the top three, but it’s still in the top five among Indian anime fans, who are also the most excited for the return of Classroom of the Elite.
