The highly anticipated season 4 of the Overlord series is nearly here, as a preview for episode 1 has been revealed. The fourth season will premiere on July 5, 2022 and studio MADHOUSE is animating once again.
The season will open with an episode focused on Ainz’s concerns. He is leading a country and thanks to the help of helpful NPCs (his allies) and the undead who work without needing to rest, the land has become a safe and hunger-free space. However, the people are still fearful and anxious and the city is quiet. To fix this, Ainz visits the Adventurers’ Guild and makes a proposal to Ainzach.
In addition to the “normal” version of the preview video for Overlord Season 4 episode 1, a special version has also been uploaded. The special version is narrated by Mamoru Miyano, who voices Pandora’s Actor:
Naoyuki Ito is directing the Overlord Season 4 (Overlord IV) anime, with Satoshi Tasaki on character designs. Yukie Sugawara is overseeing the series composition and also writing the screenplay.
The Overlord anime series is based on light novels written by Kugane Maruyama and illustrated by so-bin. The first season of the anime adaptation aired in 2015. Season 2 and season 3 both aired during 2018, with studio MADHOUSE animating. Two recap movies by MADHOUSE were also released along the way. A new movie is also in the works, but no additional information is known at this time.
