The previously announced Whisper Me a Love Song anime adaptation revealed a new key visual. In addition, four new cast voice actors are joining the cast: Mikako Komatsu as Aki Mizuguchi, Konomi Kohara as Mari Tsuitsui, Ai Kakuma as Kaori Tachibana, and Yuna Nemoto as Shiho Izumi. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2024.
Yokohama Animation Lab is supervising the production while studio Cloud Hearts is animating. Xin Ya Cai is directing the series, Hiroki Uchida is writing the scripts, and Minami Yoshida is doing character designs. The main cast consists of Hana Shimano as Himari Kino and Asami Seto as Yori Asanagi.
The TV anime is adapted from the manga written and illustrated by Eku Takeshima which was initially serialized in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime in 2019 and it currently has 6 volumes in circulation. Kodansha Comics is licensing the manga in English they described the first volume as follows:
Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school.
