According to the official Twitter of the franchise, Yuri On Ice sequel film is currently in production. In a statement posted in English, they say it’s not yet ready for a release date, but they are working on enriching it. A new trailer is also shown, which was previously screened exclusively in theatres:

The Production of “Yuri!!! on ICE the movie: ICE ADOLESCENCE” is still ongoing with the aim of further enriching the film. However we have not yet reached the stage where we can announce the release date.
Our team will continue to work diligently to deliver a film and share our unwavering love and dedication for skating. We deeply apologize to all fans for the circumstances and ask for your generous understanding.

The original anime aired 4 years ago from October to December 2016. Animation was handled by MAPPA, and fans enjoyed the show a lot. It’s nice to hear an update about the sequel, and many will definitely be excited to see the Yuri on Ice sequel!
