A Condition Called Love Cast, Staff and Broadcast Date Revealed

A Condition Called Love TV anime revealed the cast, staff, and broadcast date for the series. The announcement of the anime adaptation was made public on June 7, together with the first key visual. According to the series’ official website, the anime will start broadcasting in April 2024. The A Condition Called Love anime, also known as Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai in Japan, is still being serialized in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine. The shojo manga, which focuses on the romance between two high-school students, has received multiple nominations and awards in the past, and now that the adaptation has been announced, many shojo fans are looking forward to watching the heart-warming, gentle anime that will be produced.

The cast of the A Condition Called Love anime includes Kana Hanazawa as Hotaru Hinase and Chiaki Kobayashi as Hananoi-kun, the main characters of the story. Hanazawa also voiced Mitsuri Kanroji in the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series, while Chiaki voiced Louis James Moriarty from Moriarty the Patriot. Tomoe Makino, who worked on other titles such as Kotaro Lives Alone and Aharen-san wa Hakarenai, will be directing the series. Hitomi Amamiya will handle the series composition and the script, while the character design will be drawn by Akiko Sato. East Fish Studio, who has worked on titles including Black Clover and Sword Art Online, will be producing the TV anime.

Hotaru is a 16-year-old high school first-year who has always been ambivalent about love, preferring instead to have a lively life with her family and friends. So when she sees her schoolmate, Hananoi-kun, sitting in the snow after a messy, public breakup, she thinks nothing of offering to share her umbrella. But when he asks her out in the middle of her classroom the next day, she can’t help but feel that her life is about to change in a big way…
