Virtual singer KAF announced that prolific anime voice actor and singer Ayane Sakura will be a special guest at her Tokyo arena show on January 14, 2024. KAF’s January show celebrates her fifth anniversary as a performer and marks the first time a virtual singer will ever hold a concert in an arena. She will be joined by several prominent guests throughout the course of the show on January 14, with Sakura being the first to be announced. The two have collaborated in the past, on the 2021 track “Sunrise.”
Ayane Sakura has been a voice actor and singer since 2010 and has provided her voice to a wide variety of anime series and video games. She’s responsible for the voices of Ochaco Uraraka on My Hero Academia, Secre Swallowtail on Black Clover, Fiona Frost on SPY x FAMILY, Yostsuba Nakano in Quintessential Quintuplets, and Yae Miko in Genshin Impact.
Debuting in 2018, KAF uses an anime-style avatar to present herself to the world, while creating music centered around her versatile and powerful voice. She’s become one of the most prominent virtual singers in Japan, with her original songs and covers earning millions of views. She’s performed at some of the country’s most celebrated venues, including a sold-out night at the historic Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. This past March, she released her third full-length album, further showing her artistic growth and ability to capture the complexities of growing up in 21st-century Japan.
