Birdie Wing Season 2 Delayed to April 2023

The previously announced Birdie Wing – Golf Girls’ Story Season 2 has been delayed to April 2023, from the original January 2023 premiere date. The specific reason was not given, although the official website states that the delay happened due to “various circumstances.” A special screening of the first episode will still be held on December 25.

Studio BN Pictures (Gintama) animated the first season of the original anime, with Takayuki Inagaki as the director. Kei Ajiki did character designs. Yousuke Kuroda oversaw the series composition. BN Pictures is credited with the original work and Bandai Namco Studios with original character designs. The same studio and staff are returning for the second season.

The official website describes the plot as:
Nafres, a country in Europe. Golf prodigy Eve spends her days betting on golf to earn a living.
One day, she has a fateful encounter with Aoi Amawashi, the daughter of the owner of a large corporation and an elite golf player. The two are both geniuses, but, they live in completely different worlds. Eve, the “Rainbow Bullet”, and Aoi, the “Innocent Tyrant” both genuinely enjoy golf without being pressured. The two are attracted to each other, influenced by each other, and also change each other. This is a golf girl’s story where talent collides with talent.

The main cast includes:
