Kenichiro Matsuda, Bond’s voice actor in Spy x Family anime this season, played the role of the Bat Devil in Chainsaw Man anime’s third episode, which aired on Wednesday. Matsuda, who is also involved in the Spy x Family anime as the narrator, quote-tweeted a post from the official page of the Chainsaw Man series on Wednesday after the anime’s third episode titled “Meowy’s Whereabouts” finished broadcasting:
“I, Matsuda, had the opportunity of playing the role of the Bat Devil!! I had quite a trouble voicing this Devil. It was a great honor for me to make an appearance in ‘Chainsaw Man’!! Thank you very much!! I’ll give a lot of affection to my cat!”
Other than Bond Forger and the narrator in Spy x Family, Kenichiro Matsuda played Batou Buttetsu in Ghost in the Shell: Arise , and in the Summer 2022 anime season, voiced Miles Morgan in Engage Kiss.
Chainsaw Man anime is based on a manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The anime was chosen as our fans’ most anticipated Anime of Fall 2022. Studio MAPPA is animating the series, which has been streaming on Crunchyroll. The streaming service describes the plot as:
