The 2022 anime adaptation of BLEACH, which is covering the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc, will officially stream internationally on Disney Plus (Disney+) and will be available on Hulu in the United States from October 10. The anime will be airing over 4 cours, though they won’t be consecutive (won’t air season after season). Studio Pierrot is in charge of the production, with Tomohisa Taguchi as the director. Studio Pierrot previously produced the original TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga, which aired between October 2004 and March 2012 with a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media licensed it in English, and they describe the BLEACH 2022 (Thousand-Year Blood War) story:
The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace and nobody knows who’s behind it, meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town…
