The upcoming BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense Season 2 anime will release three Blu-ray and DVD volumes with 12 episodes. The anime also announced a special limited edition for the first BD volume with a dakimakura cover with illustrations of Maple and Sally, newly drawn by the original character designer, KOIN. SILVER LINK. is animating the adaptation and the premiere date is set for January 2023.
The limited edition is available at the price of ¥25,300 (≒$185), while regular Blu-ray volumes are listed at the price of ¥14,300 (≒$105) and regular DVD volumes at the price of ¥12,100 (≒$89). The release dates with compiled episodes are listed as:
The Bofuri anime is based on Yumikan’s light novel of the same name. The series has been ongoing on the Shosetsuka ni Naro online web novel service since May 2016. KADOKAWA has picked up the series and published the first compiled volume with art by KOIN under its KADOKAWA BOOKS label in September 2017. The newest, the 14th volume was released in August 2022.
The first TV anime adaptation by SILVER LINK. aired from January to March 2020 with a total of 12 episodes. Yen Press licensed the light novel for English release and published the debut volume in April 2021. The newest, 7th volume was released in October 2022 and the 8th volume’s sale date is set for February 21, 2023. The official website describes the plot as:
