The anime was voted the most anticipated show of Fall 2022, and it also topped its 1st weekly chart after narrowly beating out BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War (the difference between the two shows was only 0.13%). In the 3rd week, it placed 2nd behind BLEACH, and it kept the same rank in week 4 and week 5. However, it saw its first drop week 6, when it fell to 5th, and it rose to 4th in week 7. In week 8, it climbed up to 3rd, while it almost overtook BLEACH last week. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, and they describe the story:
Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita. One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man”–a man with a devil’s heart.
