Chillin' in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King's Army Anime Gets Preview for Episode 1

Upcoming Chillin’ in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army anime released preview images for episode 1 along with its synopsis. Encourage Films is animating the adaptation and the premiere date is set for January 7, 2023.

In the first episode, a 30-something soldier named Dariel (Tomokazu Sugita) gets fired from the Demon King’s army and is forced to leave his home country. He set off and on the way happens to save a village girl called Marika (Akane Fujita) in a forest, and the encounter brings him to her village of humans. Now his second life as a beginner adventurer Dariel sets off.

Other than Tomokazu Sugita and Akane Fujita, the cast members are listed as follows (the spelling of the character names may vary depending on the translations):

  • Lady: Akari Kito

Akari Kito is also performing the ending theme song “Dear Doze Days”, while Hinano is singing the opening theme song “CHANGEMAKER.”

Encourage Films is animating the Chillin’ in My 30s After Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army anime based on Rokujuyon Okazawa’s light novel series with art by Sage Joh. The series is currently being published under Kodansha’s light novel label, Kodansha Ranobe Books. The light novel released the first volume in August 2019 and the latest, 3rd volume in March 2020. The manga adaptation by Rurekuchie is ongoing in the company’s Monthly Young Magazine and released the newest, 8th volume on November 18, 2022.
