Classroom of the Elite Season 2 released a preview trailer and images for episode 4, along with the title and synopsis. The fourth episode is scheduled for July 25. The title of the episode quotes a phrase from Subsidiary Notes as to the Introduction of Female Nursing into Military Hospitals in Peace and War by British nurse Florence Nightingale: “The material has to be created“.
The newly released preview images show characters including Class-D’s teacher: Sae Chabashira, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, Suzune Horikita, Kei Karuizawa, and Ken Sudo.
Episode 3 depicted the development between Kei Karuizawa and Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and the ending of the special exam on the cruise ship. The preview images and synopsis of episode 4 show the anime is entering the fifth volume of the light novel’s Year-1. The synopsis describes the next episode as:
The academy enters the second term, and the sports festival begins its preparation period. The competition’s results will affect the next written exam in either good or bad ways, which upsets the students. In addition, they significantly feel pressured by unique team divisions, and that selection of competitors is left to them…
The light novel’s author Shogo Kinugasa is writing the scripts for the preview trailers: “Fall is finally here! The sports festival is apparently starting.” Honami Ichinose cheerfully begins this week’s trailer. “I don’t like sports, so the sports festival and all got me down.” Kei Karuizawa unhappily says. Ichinose accepts it and reveals she is also not good at sports but doesn’t hate it. “By the way, Ichinose-san. Won’t you fall in love with Ayanokoji-kun?” Karuizawa changes the topic suddenly, which surprises Ichinose, but she denies it. Even so, the Class-D student doesn’t stop the talk and further asks if the leader of Class-B is experienced in romances. “Not at all. I’ve never had a crush on anyone.” The female student sincerely answers and asks Karuizawa the same question regarding the aforementioned male student. Yosuke Hirata’s pseudo girlfriend bluntly denies the possibility as well and calls him quiet and unsociable. “You’re exaggerating,” Ichinose laughingly points it out, but Karuizawa reacts: “Nah, he doesn’t show smiles and he’s such a weirdo.” After Ichinose’s call of the episode’s title, Karuizawa recommends paying attention to her jobs in the episode, and Ichinose wishes her the best. Shogo Kinugasa writes Classroom of the Elite light novel series with art by Shunsaku Tomose. The novel currently consists of two parts, Year 1 and Year 2. Classroom of the Elite Season 2 is covering Year 1. Studio Lerche is animating.
