Demon Lord 2099 anime has revealed the first teaser trailer and a Fall 2024 premiere. The announcement was made during Anime Japan 2024, where they also revealed the newest teaser trailer.
The teaser features the main characters, Veltol Velvet Velsvalt and Makina Solage, and an additional character Takahashi. Takahashi is a self-proclaimed beautiful, super-genius hacker and one of Makina’s few friends. She will be voiced by Hana Hishikawa (Delicious Party Pretty Cure’s Yui Nogami/Cure Precious).
The anime is directed by Ryo Ando (Interview with Monster Girls) and animated by J.C. Staff (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon). The character designer is Ryousuke Tanigawa with Yuichiro Momose in charge of the script. The anime was announced during the Fantasia Bunko Festival 2023.
Demon Lord 2099 is a light novel series written by Daigo Murasaki and illustrated by Kureta. It was published on Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko in January 2021 and has inspired two manga adaptations. The first manga adaptation was illustrated by Kiiro Akashiro and was serialized online on Kadokawa’s Shonen Ace Plus from November 2021 to June 2022. The second manga adaptation is illustrated by Yutaka Sakurai and began on Kadokawa’s Shonen Ace Plus in March 2023.
Yen Press has licensed and published the light novel series in English, and they describe the story:
