Almost a year has passed since season 1 ended, and now there’s less than a month for the sequel! Dr. Stone Season 2, titled Dr. STONE: STONE WARS, continues on January 14, 2021. The new visual:
Obviously there’s some new characters, and I’m already excited enough just for Senku and Tsukasa! The new trailer shows even more, and Tsukasa seems to have gotten some nice friends (judging by the voice actors!) You can also watch the trailer on Toho’s official YouTube Channel:
The new voice actors I mentioned include Kensho Ono as Ukyō Saionji, Yoshiki Nakajima as Yō Uei, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Nikki Hanada. The synopsis for the story goes:
Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens. Facing a world of stone and the total collapse of civilization, Senku makes up his mind to use science to rebuild the world. Starting with his super strong childhood friend Taiju Oki, who awakened at the same time, they will begin to rebuild civilization from nothing… Depicting two million years of scientific history from the Stone Age to present day, the unprecedented crafting adventure story is about to begin! Again, Dr. Stone Season 2 will premiere on January 14 next year.
