Eir Aoi, ASCA, and ReoNa Perform the Theme Song for Sword Art Online: Full Dive Event With FictionJunction

The theme song for the upcoming Sword Art Online -Full Dive- event will be performed by Eir Aoi, ASCA, ReoNa and Yuki Kajiura’s FictionJunction. The title of the song is “Sokyu no Fanfare“, which was written by Yuki Kajiura, who previously composed music for the Sword Art Online franchise. The event was announced during the special program for the franchise that was held on July 1, 2022. The song was featured in the event’s trailer, and you can watch it below:

Additional information about the song will be revealed soon on the website FictionJunction’s website. For now, we can only hear some of its lyrics and music on the Sword Art Online: Full Dive event trailer.

Eir Aoi also performed “INNOCENCE“, and “IGNITE“, the second and third opening songs of Sword Art Online TV anime. She also performed Sword Art Online: Alicization‘s first ending song, titled “IRIS“, as well as “I Will“, the second ending song of Sword Art Online: Alicization -War of Underworld-. Eir Aoi also performed the theme song for the movie, Sword Art Online: Extra Edition, titled “Niji no Oto“.

ReoNa also performed theme songs for the franchise before. She sang Sword Art Online: Alicization‘s second ending song titled “forget-me-not“, as well as the insert song for episode 19, titled “Niji no Kanata Ni“. She also sang the second opening song for Sword Art Online: Alicizaiton -War of Underworld-, titled “ANIMA“.

ASCA performed the second opening song of Sword Art Online: Alicization, “RESISTER“. As for Yuki Kajiura, she composed the original soundtrack of the Sword Art Online anime series, as stated above. The FictionJunction project is dedicated to performing her music.

Sword Art Online series first aired on July 8, 2022, and it had multiple seasons in the past 10 years. The anime also received various movie adaptations. A-1 Pictures animate all of it. The anime will mark its 10th anniversary on July 8, 2022, Thursday.

Sword Art Online is light novel series by Reki Kawahara with abec’s illustrations. ASCII Media Works started publishing it in 2009, and it currently has 26 volumes with more than 26 million copies available.
