Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End TV anime revealed on Thursday that voice actors Takuya Eguchi and Konomi Kohara are joining the series as Stark’s older brother Stoltz and the young Chief of the Village of Swords, respectively. Both will make their appearance in episode 12 which is slated to premiere on November 24. The character designs for the two have also been unveiled.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime is based on the manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Keiichiro Saito (Bocchi the Rock!) is directing the series at studio Madhouse (A Place Further Than The Universe) with Tomohiro Suzuki (One Punch Man) as the scriptwriter, Evan Call (Violet Evergarden) as the music composer, Reiko Nagasawa (takt op. Destiny) as the character designer, and Atsumi Tanezaki (Anya Forger in Spy x Family) as the voice of Frieren.

After the party of heroes defeated the Demon King, they restored peace to the land and returned to lives of solitude. Generations pass, and the elven mage Frieren comes face to face with humanity’s mortality. She takes on a new apprentice and promises to fulfill old friends’ dying wishes. Can an elven mind make peace with the nature of life and death? Frieren embarks on her quest to find out.
Takuya Eguchi is known for voicing Loid Forger in Spy x Family, Hachiman Hikigaya in My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected, Takeo Goda in My Love Story, Akihiko Kaji in Given, and Souei in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, among others. Meanwhile, Konomi Kohara is best known for voicing Chika Fujiwara in Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Roxy Migurdia in Mushoku Tensei, Yuko “Shamiko” Yoshida in Demon Girl Next Door, Sachi Umino in A Couple of Cuckoos, Akane Mizuno in Tsuki ga Kirei, and Mona in Genshin Impact, among others.
