Last week’s episode of Fruits Basket focused on Momiji’s personal growth, as his curse finally broke. The Fruits Basket official Japanese Twitter posted the preview images for episode 6 on May 7, 2021. From the looks of it, we’re in for a highly emotional episode next week.
The Fruits Basket episode 6 preview images show Tohru crying, and Kyo embracing her. Judging by the events of the past few episodes, Tohru’s tears may have something to do with her desire for Kyo’s curse to break. In the first episode of this season, she found out from Kureno that his curse broke some time ago.
The “curse” refers to the unshakeable bond that ties the Soma family to Akito no matter how badly she treats them. As soon as she found out the curse could be broken Tohru wished for Kyo’s curse to break.
The title for episode 6, according to the official Fruits Basket Twitter account, is “How Stupid!” Fans of Fruits Basket would know just how hard Tohru can be on herself sometimes, so this title could potentially be a quote from her. View the full Twitter post below:
