Fuuto PI – Key Visual

Yosuke Kabashima is directing the Fuuto PI anime. Hidekazu Ebina is doing character designs. Kotaro Nakagawa and Sei Shuehi Naruse are composing the music.

Fuuto PI anime recently unveiled character visuals. The main cast includes:

  • Makoto Furukawa as Ryu Terui
  • Mikako Komatsu as Akiko Narumi
  • Kouki Uchiyama as Philip
  • Yoshimasa Hosoya as Shotaro Hidari
  • Akira Sekine as Tokime
  • Daisuke Ono as Yukiji Bando

The source material, Fuuto PI (Fuuto Tantei) manga written by Riku Sanjo and illustrated by Masaki Sato, is a sequel to the 2009 Kamen Rider W TV series. The manga started serialization in 2017 in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits. However, the title doesn’t include Kamen Rider because the manga is aimed at an older, seinen audience. It hasn’t been licensed in English yet.

The plot has been described as:
The city where the wind always blows – Fuuto. An organization that has once threatened the city has been destroyed by Riders but Gaia Memory, a dangerous mass-produced item still remains scattered throughout the city. This item has a terrifying power – it turns people into monsters by using their memories.
Shotaro is a half-baked detective, stuck with his partner Philip. One day their agency gets an unusual request. While working they meet Tokine, a demonic beauty. The wind has now stopped blowing…
