Genshin Impact 1.6 version finally has a trailer. 1.6 version is titled Midsummer Island Adventure, and the trailer features everyone’s favorite Spark Knight – Klee, Jean, as well as Beidou and a new anemo sword user, Kaedehara Kazuha. Barbara and Jean can be seen wearing new outfits.
Trailer hints at the new upcoming area – seemingly called Midsummer Islands. We get to see Jean, who is wearing a new outfit. She finally allows Klee to blast fish. Seems like players are getting a new boss fight, a humanoid creature with what appear to be anemo powers. New events, with more new enemies, are also hinted at.
While the first part of the trailer has light undertones and a beach theme, the second half is much darker. Beidou finally gets her place in the story, she’s seemingly holding a tournament and winners try to make old visions glow again. We already know that most people in Tevyat get their visions directly, and when they die the visions stop glowing. However, in some special cases, a different person handling the deceased’s vision may activate it again. This is where Kazuha comes in – he is fighting in Beidou’s tournament.
Genshin Impact 1.6 trailer also shows off some upcoming events and new game mechanics. You can watch the full video below:
A livestream for the upcoming 1.6 version is coming later on May 28, 2021.
The new Genshin Impact update is expected to drop this June after Eula’s banner ends. Official YouTube channel describes it as:
In the sweltering summer, a strange letter is discovered on the windowsill, with a spiraling fog shrouding a mystery far away. Following the sound of the crashing waves to find the truth, sparks dance on the horizon as the fleeing sun shines brightly across the sky. For her best friend and for the great adventure ahead, our youngest knight is ready to embark on her journey — let’s go!
