A new character banner is about to land on Genshin Impact‘s servers! To build up the hype for the occasion, Genshin Impact has released a character demo for their newest 5-star, Eula.

Eula, otherwise known as the Spindrift Knight, is an interesting addition to Genshin Impact’s colorful roster. As the captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance company, she is a powerful warrior, taking to battle wielding a mighty claymore. She also makes use of her Cryo Vision to aid her in combat, ensuring no opponent stands a chance.
The character demo makes a great show of Eula’s best qualities, highlighting her beautiful animations and her powerful skills.
It begins with Eula, alone on the edge of Brightcrown Canyon. She begins an elaborate dance routine, as the melodic pangs of a guitar start to come to life. As she begins, she explains that the dance used to be a part of the ceremony aristocrats took part in to show off their stature. Lamenting that the performance is now just a private pastime, Eula twirls, sashays, and pirouettes to her heart’s content, dancing as though no one is watching.
Shots of her entrancing performance is intercut with clips of her in battle, where she is equally as graceful. She elegantly takes to the battlefield, carving through Abyss Mages and Hilichurls with power and poise. Her claymore and her icy powers make short work of all who stand against her.
As Eula’s performance comes to a close, she finds that her performance did indeed have an audience. A flustered Amber comes into frame and explains that she wasn’t spying on Eula, claiming to only be concerned for her safety. Unfazed and unflinching, Eula declares that she is fine, inviting Amber to join her. “It takes two to tango,” she says to Amber, leaving her all the more flustered. “Shall we?”
All things considered, she looks to be a strong character for those lucky enough to acquire her. Of course, it’s easier said than done, getting any specific 5-star in a gacha game like Genshin Impact. However, Eula certainly seems to be worth the gamble, looking to be a strong physical damage carry for her owners.
Eula’s banner, the Dance of the Shimmering Wave, will go live on Genshin Impact’s servers on May 18. Will you be rolling for the Spindrift Knight, Eula? May the gacha gods bless those of you that do!
