The girls’ love manga Whisper Me a Love Song is getting an anime adaptation. The main cast and staff were also revealed, along with information that studio CLOUD HEARTS is animating the series on Friday. Hana Shimano is voicing Himari Kino while Asami Seto is Yori Asanagi.
Yokohama Animation Lab is supervising the production. Xin Ya Cai is acting as the director while Hiroki Uchida is writing the scripts. Minami Yoshida is doing character designs and they drew a commemorative illustration for the adaptation’s announcement. The anime’s release date is yet to be revealed.

The anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Eku Takeshima. Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime started serializing the series in 2019 and it currently has 6 volumes in circulation with the 7th volume to be released on January 18. Kodansha Comics is licensing the manga in English with 5 volumes and they described the first volume as follows:
Bubbly, energetic first-year high school student Himari falls head over heels for her senpai Yori after hearing her band perform on the first day of school. Himari tells Yori she just loves her, and, to Himari’s surprise, Yori says she loves Himari back! But when Himari realizes that she and her senpai are feeling two different kinds of love, she begins to ask herself what “love” really means
