My Dress-Up Darling: Gojou Voice Actor Will Make a Cosplay Outfit for Marin’s Voice Actress

The special program of My Dress-Up Darling hosted by the main cast of the series aired its first episode, and it featured Shoya Ishige, the voice actor of Wakana Gojou, who was tasked with making a cosplay outfit for Marin’s voice actress, Hina Suguta. The program will run until the anime series ends. You can watch the first episode down below:

The voice actors of Gojou and Marin chose to make the costume of Kuroe Shizuku, the cosplay outfit that Marin tried to make in the first episode of My Dress-Up Darling. It can also be seen on the key visual of the series.

Just like in the story, Shoya will be totally in charge of making the costume while Hina will take care of the wig and make-up. Shoya also revealed in the program that he started making clothes on a class project way back in grade school. Looking forward to Shoya’s sewn costume for Hina!

My Dress-Up Darling

My Dress-Up Darling anime series is produced by CloverWorks with Keisuke Shinohara as director and the main cast consisting of Shoya Ishige (Gojou) and Hina Suguta (Marin). The original manga has been ongoing in the Young Gangan magazine since January 19, 2018. You can watch My Dress-Up Darling on both Funimation and Crunchyroll, and the synopsis goes:

Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who wants to become a kashirashi–a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he’s gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class. The popular kids–especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa–seem like they live in a completely different world.

That all changes one day, when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide. (Crunchyroll)

I can talk about seiyuus for days. A connoisseur of cute girls doing cute things and fluffy romance stories always make me smile. I mostly watch slice-of-life and rom-coms with drama on the side.
