Grimm's Fairy Tales Anime by WIT Studio Coming to Netflix in April, Featuring Dark Twists

Grimm’s Fairy Tales original anime project by WIT Studio will be coming to Netflix on April 17, and it will feature 6 stories with added elements of horror and suspense. The dark twists will be compiled as an anthology, and its title is Grimm Variations. CLAMP is in charge of the character designs, Michiko Yokote is in charge of the screenplay, and Miyagawa Akira is composing the music. A new piece of art was released with the announcement.

The partnership between CLAMP and Netflix was formed in 2020, while the Grimm’s Fairy Tales anime project was announced in July 2021. You can check out the first visual from the time of the original announcement below.

Grimm Variations – Anime Visual

Grimm’s Fairy Tales is a German collection of fairy tales written by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, also known as “Brothers Grimm”. It was first published on 20 December 1812. The original edition had 86 stories, and by the seventh edition, published in 1857, there were 210 distinct fairy tales.

WIT Studio’s other upcoming projects include Suicide Squad ISEKAI, THE ONE PIECE remake and the chaotic My Deer Friend Nokotan.
