Hiromu Arakawa's Farmer Manga Hyakusho Kizoku Gets Anime

Fullmetal Alchemist author Hiromu Arakawa’s essay manga titled Hyakusho Kizoku (Noble Farmer) is getting an anime. Further information will be delivered through the official Twitter account and bimonthly magazine Wings in which the manga has been serialized.

Hyakusho Kizoku official Twitter account announced the series is receiving an anime adaptation.

Hiromu Arakawa is from Hokkaido and was a farmer for 7 years in the prefecture before she became a manga creator. The manga essay Hyakusho Kizoku depicts her agricultural life back then. Keeping cows, growing vegetables, being afraid of bears… working hard all the time. “If they don’t have water to drink, let them drink milk.” says the Noble Farmer. The series released the first compiled volume in December 2009 and has published seven compiled volumes as of October 2021.

Hyakusho Kizoku manga released the first volume in 2009 and is receiving an anime adaptation in 2022.

Hiromu Arakawa seriliazed Fullmetal Alchemist in Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan from 2001 to 2010. It ended with a total of 27 volumes and inspired two TV anime adaptations with one film, as well as a series of three live-action films. The mangaka ran Silver Spoon in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday from 2011; it ended in 2019 with a total of 15 volumes. This series also got an anime adaptation – first one with 11 episodes in 2013 and second one in 2014. Both were animated by A-1 Pictures. She is currently working on her new work Yomi no Tsugai in Monthly Shonen Gangan.
