How to Do Your Hair Like Violet Evergarden

Auto Memory Doll Violet Evergarden has a pretty neat hairstyle with knots, tying back her beautiful long hair.

On November 5, Violet Evergarden’s spinoff film was airing on television at night in Japan. During the broadcast, the official Twitter account of the series posted a sheet of settings which teach how to style hair like the character, Violet Evergarden.

The tweet says “The spin-off has many depictions of hair. We aimed for more realistic expressions and have settings for how to tie hair. You may be able to tie your hair [like them]?”

Then, let’s look into the sheet. It divides the process into six parts as below.

1. Prepare her hair. Look at her long hair untied from the side and the back.
2. Tie back her hair including each triple braid at both sides. She has two ties.
3. Turn them into triple braids.
4. Roll them to make buns, but the tails are not tied yet.
5. Now, use a pin to fix each of them.
6. Finally, tie the roots of the knots with ribbons.

Violet Evergarden

Under Kyoto Animation‘s KA Esuma Bunko, author Akatsuki Kana and illustrator Takase Akiko‘s light novel released a total of 4 volumes including one spin-off from 2015 to 2020. The series received anime adaptations. The TV anime adaptation aired with a total of 13 episodes in 2018 that has an OVA episode, while the spin-off’s animated film adaptation Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll hit theaters across Japan in 2019. Lastly, in 2020, Violet Evergarden the Movie premiered.

Netflix has been streaming all of the adaptations and also describes the plot of Violet Evergarden as:

The war is over, and Violet Evergarden needs a job. Scarred and emotionless, she takes a job as a letter writer to understand herself and her past.
