The upcoming I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss has received a teaser trailer along with a new key visual. The anime will premiere in October 2022. Maho Film is animating.

Two versions of the new key visual are available:
Kumiko Habara (I’m Standing on a Million Lives) is directing the series, while Maho Film (By the Grace of Gods) is animating. Eri Kojima (In the Land of Leadale), Momoko Makiuchi (Mameushi-kun), and Yuuko Ooba are working on the character designs and Kenta Ihara (Mieruko-chan) is in charge of the series composition.

Sarasa Nagase first launched the I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss web novel series on the Shusetsuka ni Naro website in 2017. Kadokawa Shoten started serializing a light novel adaptation with Mai Murasaki’s illustrations in September 2017, and it currently has 9 volumes available. A manga adaptation by Anko Yuzu was also by the same publisher on Comp Ace, and it had a total of 3 volumes. Yen Press licensed the I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss light novel series and describes the plot as:
Avoid the bad ending at all costs! When her fiancé breaks up with her in front of the entire student body, noblewoman Aileen d’Autriche is devastated-or she would have been, if that wasn’t also the exact moment memories of her past life came crashing back! Turns out, she’s been reborn as the villainess of a dating sim…and according to the story, she’s slated to die at the hands of the demon king in three months!
