J-Pop Singer milet Debuts New Song “Anytime Anywhere”

Milan Records released on Friday the newest song from J-pop singer-songwriter milet titled “Anytime, Anywhere.” The song is the ending theme of the highly-anticipated anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. The song was arranged and produced by composer Evan Call, who also serves as the fantasy adventure series’ original soundtrack composer. We had a chance to interview him recently and talk about his beginnings, influences and a lot more.

The singer also left a comment about the track:
“I made and sang this song with the feeling of one wanting to feel his or hers love one in the heart at all times and in all places. It is as if saying: ‘I want to be in your hearts, though I’ve wanted a promise to feel secure, but when feeling you strongly in my heart, I realized that I don’t need a promise. No matter how many times I am reborn, I want to see you. Even if I am born as a flower, I want to bloom next to you. Even if I become a star, I want to go around by your side. I am more happy than anything to be able to think of you and sing about you now.’ No matter what time or where you are, I want to stay close to you with this song.”

milet’s “Anytime, Anywhere” made its global debut during the two-hour premiere special of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, which is available to stream now via Crunchyroll and Muse Asia.

milet made her major debut in 2019 with the song “inside you” produced by Toru from ONE OK ROCK. The song ranked in first place on 11 music charts in Japan including iTunes charts. She was invited to perform on the Japanese annual music program NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen three years in a row and performed in the closing ceremony of the 2020 Summer Olympics. milet continues to grow popular among anime fans through her anime tie-in songs, most recently collaborating with MAN WITH A MISSION on theme songs “Kitsuna no Kiseki” and “Koi Kogare” for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc anime.

milet has now released several EPs and 3 studio albums, including her most recent full-length release on August 30, 2023, entitled 5am, which is packed with numerous hit songs including “Koi Kogare”.

I can talk about seiyuus for days. A connoisseur of cute girls doing cute things and fluffy romance stories always make me smile. I mostly watch slice-of-life and rom-coms with drama on the side.
