Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Becomes 22nd Highest Grossing Anime Film of All Time in Japan

The JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 anime film has become the 22nd highest grossing anime film of all time in Japan, according to the all time ranking from Kogyo Tsushin. The film shares the 22nd spot with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, with both films listed with a gross revenue of 12.4 billion yen (~$107 million USD). At the first spot is the undisputed Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Mugen Train with a gross revenue of 40.43 billion yen (~$349 million USD). Shortly after becoming the 22nd highest grossing anime film in Japan, JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 will finally get its international release in about a week on March 18, and tickets are currently available for sale. It is a prequel focusing on Yuta and Rika, and it covers Volume 0 of the manga, which VIZ describes as:

Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem. His childhood friend Rika has turned into a Curse and won’t leave him alone. Since Rika is no ordinary Curse, his plight is noticed by Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High, a school where fledgling exorcists learn how to combat Curses. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, but can he learn enough in time to confront the Curse that haunts him?
