After the big numbers in Japan, fans in overseas regions will also be able to enjoy the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie in theaters soon. It’s getting a release in the United States and Canada on March 18, along with several other countries. The movie is based on Volume 0 of Akutami Gege’s hit manga. VIZ licensed it in English, and they describe the story:

Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem. His childhood friend Rika has turned into a Curse and won’t leave him alone. Since Rika is no ordinary Curse, his plight is noticed by Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High, a school where fledgling exorcists learn how to combat Curses. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, but can he learn enough in time to confront the Curse that haunts him?

The ‘major’ announcement is about a week away, and we’ll see if Jujutsu Kaisen will be getting a season 2 or if it will be something new related to the movie or manga instead.
