It is that time of the year again: Jump Festa is upon us. The schedule is looking pretty stacked and as always, we decided to keep an article with live updates. Akira Amano’s Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective held a panel with Ayumu Murase and Neeko. The series is getting an anime adaptation by Diomedéa. Check out the teaser:
Spy x Family anime announced a sequel set for 2023. But, that is not all, as the franchise is also getting an original movie, also set for 2023. Tatsuya Endo is supervising the story for the movie; the second season will continue adapting the manga.
The cast members that attended the Jump Festa ’23 panel were Takuya Eguchi, Saori Hayami, Atsumi Tanezaki, and Kenichiro Matsuda. They did a live reading of the scene in which Bond joins the Forger family. The scene was picked by the fans who got to vote on the official Twitter account of the anime. Matsuda said that this was a rare opportunity to see him voice Bond live. Both he and Atsumi Tanezaki said that it was easier for them to record together, because of the relationship between Anya and Bond.
Matsuda’s only lines as Bond are the barks and he said that he tries different varieties to convey the emotions behind the “borfs.” He also said that he was surprised by the theory that Bond is the narrator, as someone who observes the Forgers (but also touched). None of them know if Bond will actually talk in the future.
Ayakashi Triangle revealed a new trailer and key visual at today’s panel which was attended by Kentaro Yabuki.
Too Cute Crisis revealed a key visual with April 2023 premiere, trailer, and additional cast. The panel was attended by the main cast which includes:
Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro), Kana Hanazawa (Mitsuri), Kengo Kawanishi (Muichiro Tokito), and Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu) attended the stage which did not reveal much. A special brochure that features the Upper Moon demons will be handed out to two million visitors of the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour screening. The movie will compile episodes 10 and 11 of Entertainment District Arc and the extended version of the first episode of the new season, which is slated for April 2023. Tickets are going on sale on December 24 in Japan.
The reboot of the Rurouni Kenshin revealed a new trailer during its panel. Rie Takahashi (Kaoru Kamiya) was joined by Makoto Koichi and Taku Yashiro who will voice Myojin Yahiko and Sagara Sanosuke.
Dr. Stone revealed a teaser trailer for the third season at today’s event. Yusuke Kobayashi, Ryota Suzuki, Gen Sato, and Kengo Kawanishi attended the event, and Maaya Sakamoto recorded a message. She talked about her new character, Francois, and how mysterious they are. BURNOUT SYNDROMES was supposed to make an appearance on the stage but had to cancel. A special music video for their “Good Morning, World” song was shown.
Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku revealed a new trailer and the main cast, along with a main visual. Studio MAPPA is animating the series. The premiere date is slated for April 2023.
Blue Exorcist has a new anime project in the works. The main cast from the old TV anime attended the panel.
The Chainsaw Man stage did not reveal much in terms of the anime, but it did give us a sneak peek at the upcoming chapter. Tatsuki Fujimoto sent a message, thanking everyone for coming to the Chainsaw Man stage. “I am not quite sure when you will be reading this message but I am sure that the anime will have gotten pretty exciting by then. The second half of the series will revolve around Himeno,” Fujimoto wrote. He says Himeno got close to Aki and to his heart and that he hopes she managed to leave traces of herself in fans’ hearts and minds even now. “I hardly ever go back and read my manga once I am done with it… Watching the [Chainsaw Man] anime is a powerful experience; I hope you are enjoying it. I know I am.”
Mashle anime is set to premiere in April 2023 as revealed with a key visual and teaser trailer earlier today.
One Piece stage started off with Uta’s performance, which was followed by a discussion with the Straw Hats cast. Eichiro Oda sent a letter, recapping the year for the franchise. From the new movie to Wano Arc coming to an end, Oda said that 2022 has been crazy. He says he is glad that the manga is attracting a younger audience too (some of which are younger than the series) and that he has no plans to wrap up the story any time soon. Next year will also be big from One Piece: One Piece Odyssey game is coming and he is also going through the drafts for the first season of the live-action series. A big clash between “those” persons is going to happen in the manga and he hopes that no one will die.

Mission: Yozakura Family went all out and announced an anime adaptation with a teaser visual and a 2024 premiere date. Silver Link will be animating it.
Moriarty the Patriot stage was dedicated to the musical. Shogo Suzuki (William James Moriarty) and Ryo Hirano (Sherlock Holmes) attended, along with the manga author, Hikaru Miyoshi. Opus 4 of the stage play is coming in January 2023 (will be played in February too). New serialization, titled Moriarty: The Patriot -The Remains-, is starting in Jump SQ’s April 2023 issue.
Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King is the newest installment of the franchise and it is set to premiere on March 31 on Netflix. A new trailer was unveiled, along with some cast additions.
Natsuki Hanae and Kenji Nomura are joining the cast as Shen Xiang and Void. A teaser trailer is also out:
Ayane Sakura and the manga editor were guests on the stage. Information about the studios was revealed, along with staff and a Minami’s character visual.
JJK is returning in July of 2023. A short character trailer with designs from the second season (including Toji Fushiguro) was also revealed.

Chained Soldier anime revealed the first trailer. Seven Arcs is animating the adaptation, which is set to premiere in 2023.

Sports anime announced an event for June 2023. The voice cast will gather and a visual has been revealed:
Naruto is celebrating its 20th anniversary with various activities, but the main highlight of this panel was the new arc in the Boruto anime that will adapt the Sasuke’s Story—The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust (Sasuke Retsuden) novel. Key visual was revealed.
The horror anime from studio OLM premieres this summer and a few clips were shown during the panel. Three short clips were revealed, and one was uploaded online:
The panel for My Hero Academia didn’t bring us any news, but we got to see the voice cast pick their favorite scenes for various awards. Deeply Moved Award went to Twice and Toga’s goodbye, Best Shout Award went to Daiki Yamashita for Deku’s “Smash” against Shigaraki, Koki Uchiyama chose the scene in which Shigakari gets hijacked by All for One as The Most Impressive Scene, and Hiro Shimono chose Dabi’s dance “most enduring scene.” Kohei Horikoshi sent a special message to the audience, stating that last year he said that My Hero Academia manga would be done in around a year. Now he says he was too optimistic, but that he is grateful for all the support. To him, the manga is basically its own version of One For All.
BLEACH revealed a new key visual for the Thousand-Year Blood War arc’s finale. It was also revealed that the anime will be back sometime in 2023.
Tite Kubo took part in the panel and talked about his role as the supervisor of the new anime. He says he supervised all the original scenes that have been added to the new series and even gave the anime staff some of his scrapped ideas. Tomohisa Taguchi, the director of the Thousand-Year Blood War recorded a message for the event. For him, the most memorable scene was the one in episode 7 where the rain falls on Ichigo. He says Kubo told them to go ahead and cut out gag scenes from the manga if they felt unnatural. Masakazu Morita, who voices Ichigo, complained about the lack of gag scenes and says he tries to sneak them in wherever possible, however, it does not always work.
Kubo says he’d love to keep adding original scenes but that certain parts of the story from the manga will be cut out. For example, Unohana’s past was cut in recent episodes and there are no plans to tell that story in the anime at the moment.
The panel features Kensho Ono, Junichi Suwabe and Fumiko Orikasa. They talked about the anime, recording sessions and more. Yuki Ono recorded a special message because he couldn’t be at the event, stating that Kuroko’s Basketball brought him “fortune.” He said he used to work side jobs when he was cast in the anime and that he often had to quit due to scheduling issues. The 10th-anniversary song for the anime was also revealed: GRANDRODEO and Kensho Ono are performing “ZERO STEP.” The short animated music video was revealed.
Kensho Ono also shared some of his highlights from Kuroko days. He apparently traveled to Singapore for an event and punched Kenichi Suzumura in the shoulder after getting very drunk. Junichi Suwabe reminisced about the last day of the recording and a party that was held. They got drunk and ruined the cake, but Suwabe says he looked at Kensho, who was eating it and thought “young people are scary” and “he will be big someday.” Fumiko Orikasa talked about having to stand on her toes during recording sessions because her male colleagues were much taller. Yuki Ono apparently passed out during one of the recording sessions and was told to “fly longer, not higher.” Kensho remembered how he used to buy Weekly Shonen Jump every Monday and that Yuki would always manage to borrow it and read it first.
The recording sessions for the two-part Haikyu! movie haven’t started yet. Ayumu Murase and Kaito Ishikawa attended the panel and talked about their experiences as voice actors in the franchise over the past 10 years. Gekidan Haikyu director, Kenta Suga, was also interviewed during the panel. Gekidan Haikyu will have its first performance in August of next year. Keishiro Kato will be playing Hinata.
A kickoff event for the movies has been scheduled for August 2023.
