Ken Kaneki Meets Moon Knight in New Illustration by Sui Ishida

Mangaka Sui Ishida drew a special illustration of Ken Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul and Moon Knight from the titular Disney+ series to celebrate the broadcast of the TV series. Ishida commented on the visual, stating he was impressed with the dark world of the Moon Knight, and that the main character (Marc Spector) is quite similar to Kaneki. According to the author, they are both “hoarders of knowledge in their own fields” and are also dark heroes in their own way.

Sui Ishida talked about the high expectations he has for the Moon Knight series. “What kind of hero will Stephen, played by Oscar Isaac, who starred in Star Wars, become? I’m really looking forward to it” he stated. Ishida also added that he was drawn to Marvel’s universe because of the dark themes of sleep disorders and insanity, as well as beautiful imagery.

Moon Knight is part of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. The series premiered on March 30 and is set to run until May 4, with a total of 6 episodes.

Sui Ishida is a mangaka best known for his Tokyo Ghoul manga and its sequel Tokyo Ghoul:re.
