The upcoming season 2 of Komi Can’t Communicate anime revealed an official trailer ahead of the April 6, 2022 release date. Studio OLM is animating the series, which premiered in October 2021 in Japan. Netflix streamed the first season worldwide with a 2-week delay, but at the time there is no information if this system will stay in place for the sequel.
The new trailer features the theme song for the second season, which was recently revealed along with an ending theme and a key visual:
The main cast is returning for the second season. Aoi Koga is voicing Shoko Komi (who actually speaks in the new trailer!), while Gakuto Kajiwara is Hitohito Tadano, her interpreter, friend, and love interest. Rie Murakawa is everybody’s childhood friend – Najimi Osana, who acts as somewhat of an annoying matchmaker. New cast additions have also been revealed and include:
Komi Can’t Communicate is based on a manga by Tomohito Oda. The staff from the first season is returning. Kazuki Kawagoe is directing the second season, with Ayumu Watanabe who is ]a chief director on the adaptation. Deko Akao is overseeing series composition. Yukari Hashimoto is composing the music.
