Medialink To Distribute Chainsaw Man Anime in Asia

Hong-Kong based media content distribution company Medialink has announced that they have signed a partnership deal with MAPPA to distribute and license the upcoming anime Chainsaw Man in Asia. No additional information has been revealed at this moment.

Medialink’s anime distribution service includes the brand Ani-One, which simulcasts new anime titles and distributes older series across their partner platforms. Some of their partners include Netflix, Aniplus Asia, Animax Asia, iQIYI, and Bilibili. They also have a YouTube channel that offers free legal streaming of anime series.

Medialink is excited to bring this highly anticipated title from MAPPA to the whole of Asia. We believe our anime fans are as excited as we are, and Chainsaw Man is one of the most awaited titles in 2022 by the fan communities across the region, and will definitely create a big hit wave. The Chainsaw Man anime will be animated by Studio MAPPA. Ryu Nakayama is serving as the series’ director, with Kazutaka Sugiyama in charge of the character designs. Kiyotaka Oshiyama is responsible for the creature designs and Kensuke Ushio is handling the series music. It was previously announced that Crunchyroll will also stream the anime later this year. Crunchyroll describes the series as follows:

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita. One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man”–a man with a devil’s heart.
