The Mob Kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyutan light novel is getting an anime adaptation, as announced by the official X (Twitter) account of the HJ Bunko imprint. A commemorative visual has been also released following the announcement.
Kaito wrote the Mob kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyutan light novel with illustrations by Almic. It was first published at Shosetsuka ni Naro in April 2019 before Hobby Japan acquired the title. As of this writing, there are seven volumes of the light novel currently out. A manga adaptation with art by Terio Teri has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Dokodemo Young Champion since August 2021.
The novel (English title could be The Story of An Exploration Hero Who Has Worked His Way Up From Common People) follows the story of Kaito Takagi, an ordinary student of modest stature, who has led himself to a routine life as an explorer in the dungeons that had manifested across Japan. His daily pursuit involves slaying slimes, a means to earn some pocket money, all while secretly harboring admiration for his childhood friend, the esteemed class queen.
However, his mundane routine takes an unexpected turn when a previously unseen golden slime emerges before him. Upon defeating this unique adversary, Kaito stumbles upon a remarkably rare item of immense value – a servant card capable of summoning mythical beings. As he decides to summon a mythical creature using the card, a warrior maiden of unparalleled beauty materializes, altering the course of Kaito’s existence.
