Anime adaptation of More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers manga revealed the first trailer, a day after a key visual and October 2022 release date were revealed. Studio Mother is animating the series.
The main cast includes:
Junichi Yamamoto is directing the series, while Takao Koto is credited as the chief director. Naruhisa Arakawa is in charge of the series composition and Chizuru Kobayashi is the character designer. Theme songs include “True Fool Love” by Liyuu as the opening theme and “Stuck on You” by Nowlu as the ending theme.
More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers is based on the manga by Yuki Kanamaru. Although manga hasn’t been licensed in English, Kadokawa provided a translated synopsis in the description of the trailer:
Jiro Yakuin, a dull high school boy, ends up living with a cute gal named Akari Watanabe in the “Fu-fu Jishyu”. The two, who are in love with someone else, decide to play husband and wife for real in order to exchange partners. However, during their married life, they learn of each other’s attraction to each other and become aware of each other’s attraction to each other….
