MSI Ventures Onto the VTuber Scene

Another brand-affiliated VTuber is added to the scene: this time the Japanese arm of gaming hardware company MSI has announced that their VTuber will be debuting soon. She’s named Mei Mihoshi, and she will serve as MSI’s official character.

The company officially made Mihoshi’s Twitter account public on November 24. In addition, they also announced that Mei Mihoshi will debut on December 4 this year. During her course as a VTuber, she will be carrying out regular streaming activities. 

As for her stint as MSI’s character, she will appear in the introduction video to promote MSI notebook PC.

On Twitter, MSI’s US counterpart joked that they will be submitting expense requests in order to send superchats to Mei when she debuts.

About Mei Mihoshi

According to her lore, she states that she belongs to the company’s ‘E-Sports Promotion Committee’. Furthermore, her stint as a VTuber will be to help spread the appeal of MSI products to a wider consumer base.

As of this writing, she has over 1.2k Twitter followers and 1.1k YouTube subscribers.
